Steve is an Elder in the Western North Carolina Conference, having served churches in urban, suburban, and small-town settings as well as planting a new church.

Prior to being appointed to his full-time coaching ministry, Steve provided leadership as the Director Connectional Ministries and as the Director of Congregational Development for the Western North Carolina Conference.

Steve has devoted a substantial portion of his ministry to equip laity and clergy to more effectively reach out to underrepresented groups and generations of people. He has extensive experience in coaching and consulting in all areas of life and ministry with clergy and laity in new and existing churches across the country.
